Role Description: The Architect designs a total system (end to end) to include using network management, application platforms and database solutions. He/she establish the overall architecture framework to guide the design of the business applications and the implementation of selected infrastructures such as technologies, platforms, databases, data communications, data discovery and modeling strategy, data access strategy, standards, procedures, processes, quality assurance, training, and other components needed to support the architecture and make it functional. He/she is also responsible for assisting with the project initiation activities. The Architect is responsible for creating the high-level technical design and detail technical design. The Architect may participate in development environment setup, production environment setup, programming, unit testing, final delivery to the Integration Test Team and installation in the production environment.

AIX, Linux, Win, etc.

Video Servers (from Thomson, Omneon, EVS, etc.)

Nonlinear Editing Stations (from Pinnacle, SONY, Thomson etc.)

MAM (Ardendo, STG, Ancept, MPS etc.)

Broadcast Automation systems (like SGT)

Broadcast standards and formats (from SONY, Thomson, Pinnacle, AVID, EVS etc.)
